Not far from Tulum you will come across some enchanting natural basins that represent the perfect combination of green and blue: the clear, transparent waters are in fact surrounded by the jungle, mangroves and rushes. The Kaan Lum Lagoon or Nopalitos Lagoon which are just a few minutes away, and the Bacalar Lagoon, also known as the 7 Colors Lagoon due to the shades of its waters, are truly well worth a visit.
With more than 50 kilometers of coastline along the Caribbean Sea, the area around Tulum is full of spectacular beaches, each one different from the others and all belonging to unique ecosystems. Among those that you absolutely cannot miss, we recommend Playa Paraiso, Playa Las Palmas and Playa Pescadores, which can also be reached from the pueblo by bicycle.

The territory of Quintana Roo and all of the Yucatan is rich in cenotes, ancient underground caves of limestone origin, once considered gateways to the spiritual world. There are many around Tulum, and the ones we recommend you see are the Cenote Dos Ojos, just a 15-minute drive from the pueblo, Taak Bi Ha, Atik Cenote, and Casa Tortuga.
